Are you feeling listless, or perhaps lacking energy? Do you live with high anxiety or panic attacks, or maybe you are struggling to focus or have a feeling of being ‘elsewhere’? Are you secretly addicted to work, food, the internet, porn, alcohol, legal or illegal drugs?
I know a flavour of this - I have lived experience of overcoming enormous challenges. I was addicted to alcohol and painkillers, suffered crippling social anxiety which meant that I found it impossible to form healthy relationships.
Through a commitment to my own deep internal work, through psychotherapy, breathwork and mindfulness, I have been able to heal and integrate acute childhood trauma and step into my true power.
My hope is to help others do the same.
I can also see you online on Zoom
I’m a strong, compassionate man with a deep presence, able to provide a safe container for your healing journey.
I am an embodied, trauma informed UKCP relational integrative psychotherapist (in advanced training)*, Neurodynamic ™ Breathwork facilitator, and Mindfulness Teacher.
My wish is to support you to transform your wounds, from even the darkest of places so you can flourish into who you truly are.
As a client new to therapy, you may never have experienced real safety before. My aim is to create a non-judgemental, respectful, safe space where all of you is welcome – including your fear, doubts, anger and shame along with your greatest strengths and power.
I see Psychotherapy as the care of the soul, restoring the mind, body, spirit connection and allowing more of our innate qualities to be embodied. This in turn frees us up to experience more authenticity and depth of feeling in ourselves and in our relationships.
I am passionate about working closely with the body and its wisdom, wherein our unconscious pain and trauma lie. The body can reveal to us what is ready to be felt, witnessed and transformed. This approach is informed by my further training in Compassionate Inquiry® with Dr. Gabor Maté, which focuses on the somatic healing of trauma.

I work mainly in Scarborough in the Scarborough Counselling & Psychotherapy Institute on Westbourne Road. This historic building is light and airy, and tucked away in the leafy Ramshill area. There is disc parking nearby.
I also work at NESTT in Pocklington near York in a purpose built community therapy centre. I am usually here on a Monday.
